Real Cat boarding doesn't just happen in North America. In Europe we can enjoy a wealth of easily accessible terrain if you select the right country and operation. We've partnered with a proven operator in Macedonia, who provides a complete package for the of-piste hungry rider who doesn't want to sweat for fresh.
Essentially we'll be riding the most remote areas of the mountainous backlands on Shar. Carving up the best slopes stashed with pow and dropping some sweet couloirs.
Don't expect to be left wanting. With a typical day giving 12-15 big runs delivering a vertical drop of at least 3000m+ even the most keen riders will be satisfied.
You'll also receive a warm welcome from the hotel team. With a restaurant, bar and spa on site you definitely get the opportunity to fully recharge from the day.

Base Camp - 4* Hotel Scardus in Popova Shapka
The hotel has night bar, restaurant, ski room, laundry, spa centre with two saunas, swimming pool, and fitness suit with on site massage therapist and physio. It also offers wi-fi in all public areas. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes with international cuisine on offer.

"In terms of snow the week got better and better with the cats constantly seeking out newer and bigger sick lines with some of the most fun terrain I've ever ridden. Testament to Maverix in the way this has been captured all week in a truly professional manner! The last day was my chance to try splitboarding for the first time. Each day we got around 5500m of descent and in my opinion this is the best way to maximise off-piste riding time. Our final day was a cat assisted splitboard adventure giving us access to a fabulous run into an inaccessible valley. James had the drone out filming us 😊. Every day we were out from 9-5 and picnic lunch was provided. The hotel bent over backwards to accommodate our every wish and the cats left directly from the hotel car park.
